Come Unto Me

Matthew 11: 28-30

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”;

you need only to turn to me, trust in me and do your very best. (Mosiah 7:33)

Lay your burdens at my feet,

I will give you strength to carry-on and make your life so sweet.

My burden is light and you will soon see,

that together we can pull any load easily.

Your effort is small compared to mine,

but it is the teamwork that counts, that makes our bond so fine.

Side by side we travel as we go along,

where your footsteps vanish, mine are more deep and strong.

Trust in me and all your troubles you will be able to bear,

knock and you will find that I will always be there.

You must pull your weight and do your part,

you must give it your best effort from the very start.

With God all things are possible and everything achieved,

all it takes is the right measure of faith and the effort to believe.

I can carry you over the chasm and land your soul safely on the other side,

stay the course, be steady and strong and with me abide.

The road is long, with many an uphill slope,

I will make your burdens feel lighter and give you hope.
